Seit 2018 sammelt Charity-Kalender Geld für in der Öffentlichkeit weitestgehend unbekannte Artenschutzorganisationen, die mit geringem Werbebudget und ohne große Personalkosten Gutes für die Tierwelt in der freien Natur leisten. Nebenbei wird auf Facebook, Instagram (jeweils @Artenschutzkalender) und hier auf der Seite über die Tierarten und ihre Situation in der freien Natur berichtet. Die Bilder stammen ausschließlich vom Hobbyfotografen Olaf Goldbecker, größtenteils aus Zoos, aber auch aus der freien Wildbahn.
